Getting Started

“Incidentally, even free men, brought to this city on diplomatic missions, on commercial ventures, and such, are brought here hooded. The location of the city is supposedly a secret, known only to its citizens. Only they can come and go unhooded. Naturally, too, there are numerous outposts of the city in the mountains, at which tarnsmen are always on the alert. It is the mission of these men to keep the secret of the city.”

-Witness of Gor (Book 26) , Kindle Location 7315.

What we are looking for:

  • Initiates

  • Scribes

    • Archons, Quaestors, Prefects, Praetors, Ambassadors, Clerks, Accountants

  • Builders

    • Aediles

  • Physicians

    • Physicians, Researchers

  • Warriors

    • Raiders, Praetors, Ambassadors

  • Merchants and Low Caste

    • Merchants, Bakers, Slavers, Merchant Magistrates, Perfumers, Cosmeticians, Cloth Workers, Metal Workers, Woodsmen, Peasants, Inn Keepers, Tavern Owners, etc.

    • If you are a business owner that requires slave labor, you must provide your own via; renting from a slaver, buying from a slaver, or capturing your own slaves. We do not provide your labor freely.

  • Slaves

  • For Slavers:

    • Since we are a city that follows Merchant Law, we follow the law regarding capture rights. This means, no person of Treve or Minus must surrender their captive to you. You must obtain your own stock.

    • Be male. You may be a female member of the caste, but would not be allowed to run a slave house independently. Females would function similar to a female in the Warrior Caste, a member but inactive. There is no such thing as a Kennel Mistress. That would be a First Girl. Think Sura in Assassin of Gor.

    • We are not seeking a city slaver or city slave house. Girls who wish to be city slaves will be under the authority of Jaegnar and wear the city collar. They will be put to work in Minus, Treve, or rented to a Business Owner.

    • Private Slave Houses will operate from within the Slavers' home until a time that home no longer supports the amount of slaves in said house. Private slaves are not allowed to serve in private businesses unless the owner of said business allows it.

Minus

  • Enter Minus and start role playing according to your role.

  • For those interested in joining Minus, we have businesses available to rent for free.

    • These businesses are meant to be role played. We ask you remain actively running them. You may hire employees to keep it in operation. If you fail to actively role play the rental and someone comes with an interest in running it and they prove to be active, you may be evicted without notice. .

  • We do not support the Head of Caste online-ism, therefore, we have no Heads of Caste for you to report to.

  • You would be an independent business owner, should you decide to run one of the businesses in Minus.

    • The rental boxes are open for anyone to rent.

    •  Renting is free, and you can renew as long as you are active, but your rental will expire after two weeks if you don’t keep it renewed.

    • If for some reason your rental expires, the box will automatically lock and be available for you to rent again or for someone else to rent.

    • These are ‘first come/first served’ rentals.

    • If you fail to actively role play the rental and someone comes with an interest in running it and they prove to be active, you may be evicted without notice.

    • You do not have to be a citizen to rent them, but you will need to fill out the application in order to get land group access.

Treve

  • We will not accept people from non-Southern cultures to live in Treve. It makes no sense for a Mamba,  Pani, or Torvie to be a citizen.

  • No one is allowed within Treve without proper authorization. We do allow OOC tours so you can look around. If you are interested in an OOC tour, contact Rosaline Spiritor. These OOC tours will only be given to those with an expressed interest in joining.

    • Proper authorization includes citizenship, a slave captured and brought to Treve by a citizen, and/or permission from the Administrator.

  • We have had to install security measures to prevent unauthorized entry. The security orb acts as our NPC guards.

    • After 10 minutes, you will be ejected from the area and sent to Minus.

    • If you are caught outside the visitor landing point in Treve, without proper permission, it will not be handled via RP since ICly you wouldn't be able to enter freely.

      • We will not accept excuses such as "an NPC Warrior let me in."

  • If you do have permission to be in Treve, do not TP in people freely.

    • Their entry must be ICly approved and the RP must be done.

    • Citizens TPing other citizens or their approved slaves, and vise versa, are the exception to this rule since it is assumed they would be within the city anyway.

  • If it would not be allowed in other gated cities, and it is not allowed here either.

Applying

  • If you are interested in joining as a citizen, get an application at the landing point, fill it out, and drop it in the box next to the Applications Scroll.

    • Please do not drop your application on someone. It will likely get lost.

    • Applications might take one week to process.

    • Once approved, the appropriate tags will be sent to you.

  • If you decide to join Treve, you will be expected to swear on the Home Stone of Treve and conform to Treven customs and culture.

    • Since Minus is under the secret control of Treve, you may roleplay as much as you like in either Minus or Treve.

    • In the books, only those of Treve knew the way to Treve, it does not make sense for you to play a Mamba, Torvie, Red Savage, Kur, etc., while being a citizen of Treve.

  • Those choosing Minus on the application do not have to swear to the Treve Home Stone and can be of any Gorean background.

    • Minus is a melting pot of all sorts of Gorean people.

    • Those of Minus will be under the protection of Treve and would be allowed to enter Treve with proper authorization.

  • If you are a slave player, you still need to fill out an application regardless of how you became a slave.

    • Those playing slaves who wish to have an NPC owner, may do so freely. Having an NPC owner does not make you immune to punishment.
